LifeInbox helps you make sense of your inbox. This policy explains, in plain language, exactly what data we touch, what we deliberately don't, and the control you keep over it.
This Privacy Policy describes how the LifeInbox website and browser extension (collectively, the "Service") handle information. By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.
Our guiding principle is simple: your inbox is deeply personal, so we read as little as possible, only when you ask us to, and we never sell your data.
LifeInbox does not request access to your Gmail account and does not use the Gmail API. Instead, the browser extension reads inbox content that is already displayed on the Gmail page in your browser — only the sender, subject, and snippet of currently visible emails, and only when you trigger a sync. We never send, modify, label, or delete your emails.
Sign-in is only for identity. Google Sign-In gives us your name, email, and profile picture so we can create your account. It does not grant LifeInbox any access to your email through Google.
You can revoke LifeInbox's sign-in access anytime from your Google Account permissions page. Because the extension only reads the Gmail page locally in your browser, uninstalling the extension also stops all inbox reading.
We do not use your inbox data for advertising, profiling for third parties, or training general-purpose AI models.
To generate insights, the sender, subject, and snippet captured from your visible inbox are sent to our backend and processed by automated analysis systems, which may include third-party AI processing providers acting on our behalf.
Pro subscriptions are processed by a third-party payment provider. Your payment details are entered directly with that provider — we do not collect or store your full card numbers. We receive only what is needed to confirm your subscription status. The provider's handling of your payment data is governed by its own privacy policy.
We use industry-standard safeguards — encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), restricted access, and secure session handling — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so while we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below.
The Service is not directed to individuals under the age of 16 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, please contact us so we can remove it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice within the Service. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or how your data is handled, reach out through the support channel listed inside the Service or at the contact address published on our website.
We aim to respond to privacy requests within a reasonable timeframe consistent with applicable law.
